About The Deeds Heritage
Please sign in to see more.
As of August 4, 2016, this site is administered by Ginger [Deeds] Everhart, daughter of Roy Deeds, who passed away on July 8, 2016. He was much loved and will be much missed by all of us who knew and loved him. In 2019, Ann Lewis and her aunt Jo Collins began providing a trove of previously unknown history and photos for the Deeds lineage. Ann was Roy Deeds's half-cousin, and sadly, the two never met. Ann passed on May 7, 2021. My family remain grateful for her forging that all-too-brief connection and cherish the photos and documentation she and Jo have shared with us.

What follows is Roy's original content for the homepage:

The Deeds Heritage has been a work in progress for several years. Here you will find information you might not have known existed: hundreds of family and historical photographs, birthdays, wedding anniversaries, family stories (including myths), etc. Please check back often; information will be updated frequently. Many surnames are represented here; enter any two names and instantly learn their relationship to each other (or to you). This website is not only informative, but fun.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The most important thing about a goal is having one . . . ANONYMOUS

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
